The FIFA World Cup 2026™ turned Guadalajara into one of the tournament's most vibrant host cities, and the FIFA Fan Festival™ is the most accessible way to experience it. Hundreds of thousands of fans from around the world gather in the heart of the Perla Tapatía to watch matches on giant screens, enjoy live music, food and cultural activations — all completely free.
If you're going (or thinking about it), here's the guide you need.

Where is the Fan Fest Guadalajara?
The FIFA Fan Festival™ Guadalajara is based at Plaza Liberación, the plaza located right behind the Catedral Metropolitana. The main giant screen sits facing the Teatro Degollado, one of Mexico's most impressive historic backdrops.
The venue spans several plazas in the historic downtown:
Reference address: Pedro Loza 27A, Zona Centro, 44100 Guadalajara, Jalisco.
The circuit turns the entire historic downtown into a World Cup party. If you know downtown Guadalajara, it's impossible to miss.

How to get to the Fan Fest Guadalajara
The historic downtown has significant road restrictions during the World Cup. We don't recommend driving. Here are the best options:
🚇 Light Rail Line 3 — the fastest option
Line 3 (pink) connects from Zapopan and Tlaquepaque straight to the heart of the festival.
🚌 Mi Macro Calzada — an efficient BRT alternative
The bus rapid transit corridor is another solid option.
🚲 MiBici — for the more agile
There are bike-share stations a few minutes from Plaza Liberación. If you already have a card or the app, it's a fast option for the last stretch.
🚗 By car — only if there's no other option
If you decide to drive, keep in mind there will be extensive road closures in the historic downtown throughout the tournament. The nearest parking lots are:
Approximate rates: $30–$50 MXN/hour. Arrive with at least an extra 45 minutes to find a spot.

Mexico's matches at Fan Fest GDL: the most anticipated days
Guadalajara hosts tournament matches at Estadio Akron, and on days the Mexican national team plays, the Fan Fest reaches full capacity. Attendance limits are hit hours before kickoff, so plan even further ahead on those days.

The invisible challenge of mass events: restrooms
With tens of thousands of people gathered in the historic downtown, restroom infrastructure becomes one of the biggest logistical challenges of any event at this scale. The official FIFA Fan Fest has it covered — but what happens when you're the one organizing the parallel event?
Brand activations, corporate hospitality zones, viewing parties at private gardens, company afterparties, VIP zones for sponsors — every satellite event around the World Cup needs restroom solutions that measure up.
